Vernon W. Burton, 94, loving husband of 69 years of the late Suzann M. Burton; devoted father of Lynn (Ken) Poepp, Diane (Don) Kmiecik, Wendy Burton, and the late Wayne Burton; beloved grandfather of Rory (Kate), Heather (Brent), Ryan (Carrie) Kyle (Brittney), Kellen (Amy), Jessica, Lauren (Brett), Colleen (Raymond), Kendall (Kolt), and Logan; great-grandfather to Greta, Ryan, Ada, Charlie, Raina, Brooke, Dawson, Jackson, Brayden, Kaylee Grace, Cal, Carson, and Lucy; dear brother of the late Daniel Burton and the late Bernadette Meyers; and beloved uncle and friend to many.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Prayers on Wednesday, April 12, at 9:15 a.m. from The Elms Funeral Home 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park, IL to St. Celestine Parish for 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to be private.
