Ted was born on June 20th, 1948 in Augustowo, Poland to Anisja Kozlowska and Kornieliusz Wieremiejuk. He was born into a large Eastern Orthodox Family of 10 children, 6 girls (Nina, Wala, Lydia, Marila, Eugenia, Halina) and 4 boys (Antoni, Stefan, Wladek and Teodor). Ted was a fraternal twin to his sister Wala both born weighing less then 2 kg at birth, neither believed to survive the night yet went on live fulfilling and joyful lives.
During his time in graduate school, Teodor was a student teacher, teaching mathematics and accounting. In 1979, Teodor graduated with a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering and began working for Poliski Fiat as a design engineer. During his time in Poland, Ted had a large group of close friends who spent their weekends camping, biking and hiking the hillsides. In 1981, he moved to Chicago, Illinois to become a citizen of the United States. Ted went on to marry and have two children. During this time he successfully started a window installation company, T.W. Construction, before retiring and moving to Sarasota, Florida.
His two greatest loves of his life were his family and tennis. Ted was an avid tennis player who played at least 4 days a week, even in the scorching Sarasota sun. He made numerous close friends in Florida and was able to live out the remainder of his retired years playing tennis, renovating multiple homes, including his daughters, painting pottery and spending time playing with his beloved granddaughter Parker, who he planned on making into the "next" Serena Williams.
Teodor is survived by his son David, his daughter Sylvia (Robert Pasquesi), his granddaughter Parker Pasquesi and his former wife Eva. He is also survived by 4 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews
He will be greatly missed by both his family and his friends.
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and the sky come to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says
"There, she is gone!!"
"Gone where?"
Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destine port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says:
"There, she is gone!"
There are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
"Here she comes!"
