Robert John Swanson, born August 17, 1952, has passed away peacefully in his home on April 4, 2021.

Robert was the devoted husband of Sharon A. Swanson nee Mareci; loving son of John H. and Aileen V. Swanson; son-in-law of Joan A. Mareci; brother to the late Joan D. Sibbald and Joyce D. Ajdari (Sam); brother-in-law to the late Wendy L. Mareci.

Robert was a loving uncle to Don, the late Susan, Lori (Rick), Jami (d. Dave) Selema (David), Selvia, Amy (Troy), Aaron (Sarah) and Sammy (Zara). He was the Great Uncle to Brian, Kevin, Ricky, Bobby, Isabella, Alex, Logan, Eliana, Olivia, Addison, Matthew, Kaia, Laela, Tovi, Ronin, Viola and Violet. And a cousin to many.

A graduate of North Park University with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts as well as a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Robert's love for learning played a large part in the person he became to be. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting, cruising down the highway on his Harley, studying the stars, and building model airplanes.

Most of all, Robert adored his family, whom he treated with the utmost kindness and love.

Robert was a gentle giant of a man who charmed all who he came into contact with. He will be dearly missed.
