Richard "Railroad" Runyon, 63, Amazing husband to Colleen of 30 years, beloved father of Richie Runyon, Jr, and cherished stepfather to Brian and Mathew Schiller.  He was a devoted son of the late Darlene and the late Richard Sr; loving grandpa of Spencer, Emma, Declan, and Sabine; beloved uncle of Mickey, Carlton, and many others; younger brother of the Ed, Mark, and late Scott Runyon and Lori Debehnke; devoted pet dad and friend to many.

Rick was a kind soul with a huge heart. Most people met him during his dart days where he dominated the circuit at competitions. As time moved on, Rick became "The Master Chef" cooking for his friends and family on holidays, special occasions or friendly gatherings. His baked ham was legendary and other dishes such as potato salad and Mostaccioli were a "must have" when dining at the Runyon Home.

The Guitar was his personal therapy and you often heard him playing classic songs by his favorite band "The Beatles" or songs he wrote himself.  Patient, empathetic, and always the first to lend a hand, Richard was truly a "Class Act".  His loss has left a hole in the hearts of all who loved him.

The family invites you to say goodbye during a visitation, this Monday, February 12, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park, IL. Funeral Service Tuesday, February 13, at 11 a.m. at The Elms Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
