Richard M. Cooke, age 82, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was born on November 1, 1940 in Chicago, IL.

Richard is survived by his son Richard C. (Maria Prada) Cooke; grandsons Richard J. Cooke and Christian A. Cooke; niece Susan M. Marin, and nephews Gerald A. Kuc and Christopher R. Kuc.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph J. Kuc and Lucille K. Richards and his brother, Gerald "Jerry" T. Kuc.

Richard, a U.S. Army veteran, and life-long Chicago Cubs fan, was loved by all who knew him.  Blessed with a razor-sharp wit and the ability to find humor in any situation; he found great success in his professional life.  He excelled in the competitive garment industry in New York City in the 60's, 70's and early 80's.  He returned to Chicago and founded a successful transportation company which he enjoyed running until he sold it and retired.

He said he was most proud of his only son, Richard, who became a successful Chicago attorney, was elected as a Cook County Circuit Court Judge, and an owner/operator of multiple gas stations, car washes, and other commercial properties.  He often joked that he had nothing to do with any of Richard's successes and owes all the thanks and gratitude to his ex-wife, Gloria C. Cooke, Richard's devoted mother.

He was also proud of his brother Jerry, "The Cooker" a popular and well-known Chicago Sports broadcaster and an award-winning journalist whose career spanned five decades across a myriad of media platforms.

Richard will be dearly missed, but his spirit and humor will live on in the memories of those that loved him.
