Mildred Rose Przytulski (nee Kotlarz)
November 8, 1931 - September 25, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Mildred on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Stanley; Beloved mother of Kevin (Laura Snipes), the late Laura (the late Richard) Taranko, and Kathleen (Anthony) Krawec; Caring grandmother to Cristie (Brian) Gurin, and Eric Taranko; great-grandmother to Sadie Gurin.

Millie was a proud 50 year resident of Elmwood Park, serving for a time as President of the Elmwood Park Senior Club, as well as a Leyden Township Election Judge. Before her retirement, she worked as an Advertising Associate in the Montgomery Ward Catalog Department.

Millie had a passion for gardening and used her backyard as her planting canvas. In addition to growing a variety of flowers, including the roses she loved so dearly, she harvested her favorite vegetables. Her backyard is where she also enjoyed watching and listening to the beautiful birds that would fly from flower to flower, and perch atop her birdfeeders.

Millie was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bulls, and cheered them on from home, where she also liked to read romance novels, and breeze through puzzle books.

She was dedicated and charitable to causes that helped our veterans, children, the homeless, the hungry, and all types of animals.

Millie's favorite place to be in the last years of her life was in her own home, where she loved to watch her games shows, Hallmark Christmas movies, and write in her journal every day. She took pleasure in the simple things in life, never held back what she was thinking, and she will be deeply missed.

An informal Remembrance will be held for Millie on Sunday, October 20, from 1-4:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Park Community and Recreation Center at 4 Conti Parkway in the Circle, where neighbors, friends, and family are cordially invited to stop by at any time to celebrate Millie's life, and join us for coffee, soft drinks, and light lunch fare including an array of Millie's favorite food and snacks.
