Osorto, 63, loving wife of Julio; beloved mother of Cindy (Mike) Alvear, Jesselyn (Nicholas) Hitchen, Julissa Osorto, Andrea (Nathan) Osorto; treasured Mama Tenchy of Mikey, Logan, Ava, Liam, and Cole; cherished daughter of Maureen Montijo; devoted mother-in-law of Irma Bustillo; and beloved sister, aunt, and cousin of many.
Maura, a remarkable woman of unparalleled strength and compassion, prioritized her loved ones above all else. Her unwavering dedication to her education and career served as a testament to her unrelenting commitment to her family. She was a beacon of hope, generously giving back to her community and welcoming family with open arms. Maura found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as gardening, cooking, and dancing. Her vibrant spirit was contagious, and she never failed to brighten up a room with her infectious smile. Above all, Maura adored her role as a grandmother, showering her grandbabies with love and creating personalized lullabies that captured their hearts forever. Her selflessness and compassion left an indelible mark on countless lives, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
Visitation, Sunday, August 11 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at The Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park, IL. Funeral prayers at 9:15 a.m., Monday, August 12, at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
