Mary Margaret Calfa, nee Kramer, passed away on May 20, 2020, at the age of 97, in Oak Park, Illinois.

Ms. Calfa was born in Tiffin, Ohio, September 2, 1922, and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana with her family on November 1, 1927.  She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for 37 years, prior to moving to Oak Park, Illinois in 1964.

Ms. Calfa attended the Cathedral grammar school, St. Augustine Academy for girls, Gregg College, Central Catholic High School, Indiana University Extension Center and studied nursing under the tutelage of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, Ancilla Domini.  Ms. Calfa had her own interior design company, K's Interiors, and worked in various organizations as an administrative assistant until she relocated in 1964 to Oak Park, Illinois, to further her career in Chicago.

Ms. Calfa was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Calfa (1970), her mother, Theodora, nee Thierry (1979), father, Peter Kramer (1952) and sister, Mildred Dinklage (1958).

Due to current mandates, services and interment at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana are being held private.  In memory of Mary Margaret, masses would be appreciated.
