Obituary

Mary Ann E. Pankiewicz, nee Makowski; Beloved wife of Daniel; cherished sister of Joseph Makowski (Mary O'Brien); dearest aunt and cousin to many.  Mary Ann graduated from Mundelein College, class of 1957.  She was a dedicated teacher at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic School and sales manager for the Great Books Foundation.  Mary Ann was active in numerous Polish-American civic organizations, and a life member of the Polish Arts Club, Polish Museum of America and Elmwood Park Woman's Club.   Visitation, Thursday, from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Prayers, Friday, 9:15 a.m. at The Elms Funeral Home 7600 W. Grand Ave. (North on 76 th Ave.) Elmwood Park to St. Cyprian Church, Mass 10 a.m.  Entombment to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite pet charity would be appreciated.  For information 708-453-1234 or www.elmsfh.com

*Due to current health mandates, everyone is asked to be patient and abide by the number of visitors allowed inside the funeral home. Only 10 guests are allowed in the funeral home at a time. Everyone is welcomed, but we ask that you keep your visit short so that all who wish to pay their respects will be able to do so. The coffee lounge is closed; no food or drink is permissible.  Please note that all visitors are required to wear face masks to enter the funeral home.*
