Maria Augustyniak, 63, of Chicago passed away peacefully on January 21, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Chester Augustyniak; proud mother of Eveliss (Tony) Zenner, Kristina (Jessica) Augustyniak, Nyssa Augustyniak; adoring grandmother to Natalia, Anthony, Chloe, Mackenzie, Summer, Mykal-Michele, Rylee; fond sister of John, Florence, Joanne, Jorgina, and Michelle. There is a large host of nieces, nephews, and very close friends who will miss her dearly.

A special thank you for to Emily and Sirena for caring for her during her last days.

Maria's passion was her grandchildren, especially the joy of cooking for them. She will be remembered as someone who was always helping others.

She is preceded in death by her mom, Jovita, and her sister Carmen.

Visitation, Thursday January 26, 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. , visitation Friday, January 27, 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a Chicago Police Department, St. Jude Service at 7 p.m.  Funeral Service, 10:00 a.m., Sat. January 28, The Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
