Joseph Anthony Catrambone, Jr (58)

September 11, 1958 to June16, 2017

Joseph was a kind and compassionate person and devout in his faith. His unconditional love for his children, grandchildren, family and friends brought great joy to their lives. He was a committed educator and administrator in primary education.  Over the course of his career, he tirelessly advocated for children with learning challenges. In addition, he took great pride in mentoring youth which is his legacy. He received his Bachelor's Degree, Psychology, Education and Special Education, National College of Education, Evanston, Il; Masters of Education (M.Ed.) at National Lewis University; and Emergency Medical Technician. His professional career included Teacher and Principal, Lake Forest School District 67; Principal, Lyon Elementary School District 34; Founder and CEO, Advocacy4Learners; and Founder and President, CALL: Coaching Leaders and Learners.

He is the beloved son of Thelma Evans Catrambone and the late Joseph Anthony Catrambone; dear brother of Nic Catrambone, Christina Hill, Cathy Catrambone (Gregory Trexler), Dawn Smyka (Joseph Smyka), Christopher Catrambone (Lorie Catrambone), Laura Kowalski (Peter Kowalski), Mary Seal (Paul Seal), Arthur Catrambone (Jennifer Catrambone), Theresa Gerace (Jack Gerace), Noel Catrambone (Evaleen Catrambone), and Eugene Catrambone (Mindy Catrambone); devoted father of Joseph Catrambone III, Rachel Ahlstrom (Nate Ahlstrom), Genevieve Catrambone, Teressa Catrambone, Andrew Catrambone, and Grace Catrambone; and loving grandfather of Joshua Ahlstrom, Grace Ahlstrom, Audrey Ahlstrom

Wake - Thursday, June 22nd from 4:00-9:00 @ The Elms Funeral Home, Elmwood Park, IL.

Mass of the Christian Burial on Friday, June 23rd @ 10:00 A.M. @ St. Celestine's Church in Elmwood Park. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, River Grove, IL.
