John A. Benson, age 74; loving husband of Geri; cherished father of Jennifer (Joseph) Ranallo and Nicole Benson; beloved papa of Peyton, Madison, Brooklyn, Charlotte and Katelynn; dear brother of Timothy (Rose), Patricia Sterling, the late Robert (the late Lee) and the late Carol (the late Richard) Suhs; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.  John was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 143 and a diehard Cubs fan.  Due to current mandates, memorial services are being postponed until a future date.  Arrangements entrusted to The Elms Funeral Home, Elmwood Park.
