Joan M. Koran, 82, loving wife of the late William S. Koran; cherished mother of William F. (Carol) Koran, Steven (Debbie) Koran, Laura A. (Robert) Martinez, and James T. (Dawn) Koran; treasured grandmother of Becky Puskar, Amanda (Joe) Sramek, Kaley (Alex Morgan) Koran, Billy A. Koran, Eilleen Koran, Haley (Gavin) Battaglia, Jake (Valerie) Koran, Tyler Koran, Rebecca E. Lange, Justin T. (Katie) Lange; Ashley (Dakota) Baggs, and Nicholas Koran; devoted great-grandmother of John Tochimani, Leona Tochimani, Zel Tochimani, Landen Battaglia, Elsie Battaglia, and Addison Lange; precious sister of the late James Maloney; caring daughter of the late Frank and the late Bernice Maloney; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park, IL.

Funeral Prayers will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 starting at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home with procession to follow to St. Celestine for Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10 a.m. 

Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, IL. 

Memorial donations may be made in Joan’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s research.
