Obituary
Jeffrey A. Marchlewicz, 61, at rest March 16, 2023 at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Il after a sudden illness. Dear husband to Nancy (nee Karwoski) of 41 years, loving father to Robert and Raymond (Sarah), brother of Gary and the late Dennis (late Barbara), uncle, great uncle, loving son to the late Edward and Evelynne.
Jeff started working at Dreher Othopedic Ind. when he was 16 and went on to graduate from Oak Park/River Forest High School. His love of trains and working on cars started at a young age; because of his hard work ethic he was able to purchase several classic muscle cars which were enjoyed until he became a father which was more important to him. Jeff's overall love of the SOO line trains lead him to be an avid collector of train memorabilia.
Jeff was proud of his career with Dreher's making and creating orthopedic limb braces; when they closed, he had been there for 40 years. His skill of being meticulous and inventive certainly make him successful at his job and intricate with his hobbies. With all he saw in his career, he was also a proud organ/tissue donor and had chosen cremation.
Some of Jeff's favorite memories that he would often reminisce about involved family and friend get together's which included holidays, pool parties, poker nights, block party events and "goofy little stupid stuff" in which he always referred to as the "good 'ole days".
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Avenue (North on 76th Ave.), Elmwood Park from 3-6 p.m.
