James "Butch" Moretti, 85, longtime resident of Elmwood Park, passed away Nov. 15, 2017 after a prolonged illness that he fought with incredible determination. Beloved husband of the late Joanne, nee Kirby; loving father of George (Leanne), Karen and the late Robert Moretti; cherished grandfather of Morgan, Michele, George, Gavin, Jimmy and Michael; dearest brother of William (the late Joanne), Anna Marie (Richard) Anselmo and the late Gabriel (the late Beverly), Michael (the late Barbara) and Phillip; fond uncle of many. James, who was a butcher for 45 years, loved food, family and friends. Always quick with a joke, he was incredibly generous of his gifts, time and spirit. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather; best friend to his grandchildren. Dad was an ace poker player and a bocce ball enthusiast. He loved music, especially Louis Prima, the White Sox, the Bears and playing Craps (Dad you will always make your point in Heaven). Love you. Visitation Sunday, Nov. 19 th , 3 – 9 p.m. at the Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park.
