Edgar Hugo Ponton, age 72; beloved husband of Lola; loving father of Karina, Veronica, Hugo and Lourdes; dearest grandfather of Camila, Daniela, Samantha, Isaac, Sebastian, Juliette, Christopher and Oliver; cherished brother of Elsa, Marcia, Miriam and the late Bolivia; dear uncle to many.  Edgar overcame adversity from a very young age. He made a life for himself, and his family, through hard work and determination.  Edgar taught his children, there is no obstacle too great that cannot be overcome if you work for it. He will be forever loved and missed by all.  Visiting hours will be held, Tuesday, June 23 ^rd , from 12 to 9 p.m. at The Elms Funeral Home 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park.  Due to current health mandates, only 10 guests will be allowed in the funeral home at a time, and a mask is required.  Funeral Service and Entombment at Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago will be held privately, but all are welcome to view a live webcast at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24 ^th , 2020.
