Donald J. Stewart, 86, loving husband of 52 years of the late Joanna L.; cherished father of Mike (the late Cathy), Kristine, Greg, the late Julie, and Tom (Teri); devoted and loving grandpa "papa" of 10 and beloved great-grandpa of 10; unforgettable brother of the late Sandy, Sherri, the late John, Janice (Mike), and Jerry; treasured brother-in-law of Alice, Alan (Denise) and Diane (Larry); beloved lifetime friend of Robert (Juanita) Sachs; and uncle Don aka "Uncle Duck" to many nieces and nephews.
Donald was one of the most ethusiatic and proudest Green Bay Packers fans in the Chicagoland. He was a longtime (+40 years) Moose Member and Pilgrim of River Park Moose lodge #2578 and a 25-year member of the Elks lodge. More than anything else Don loved his family and friends deeply. We are blessed to have had him in our lives, but are still deeply saddened by his sudden loss.
Graveside services for family only will be held on Saturday, July 23, 9 a.m. at Elmlawn Cemetery 401 E. Lake St. Elmhurst, IL 60126.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The River Park Moose Lodge at 8601 Fullerton Ave., River Grove, IL 60171.
