Dolores C. Barrientos "Loly"

Dolores C. Barrientos “Loly”, 80, loving wife of the late Guillermo “Memo”; devoted mother of Marisa (Patricio) Bedolla and Evangelina (Bernardo) Gomez; treasured grandma of Michael, Sophia, Cristina (Horacio Sanchez) Mia, and Chloe; cherished sister of Idalia, Refugia, Gerardo, and the late Eva Guadalupe; aunt and godmother of many nieces and nephews in Mexico and the United States.

Dolores dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, always treating those in her care with kindness and compassion. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially shopping and traveling, with trips to Monterrey, Mexico holding a special place in her heart. Dolores enjoyed gathering with family and friends to play Lotería, creating many cherished memories filled with laughter and togetherness. A devoted Catholic, her faith was an important part of her life and a source of strength and comfort. She also had a special love for her beloved pets, Luna and Ivy, her two cats, and Lucky, her faithful dog, who brought her much happiness and companionship.

Visitation for Dolores will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Elms Funeral Home. 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park, IL.

Funeral Prayers will be Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. with procession to follow immediately to St. Vincent Ferrer for Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will be private.
