Crusita Dounias (née Godinez), 91, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family on March 17, 2025. Born in Chicago on September 14, 1933 to Carlos and Ramona. Loving wife to her late husband, Peter Dounias. Devoted mother of eight children whom she shared with her late first husband, Onesemo Alvarez. Three children survive her: Virginia (the late Paul) Okulinski, Anita (Frank) Hatzis, and Robert (the late Angela); five predeceased her: Anthony (Janie), Ramon, George, Louis, and Frank. Dear sister of the late Josephine; cherished cousin and Auntie Chris; caring friend to many. Her greatest joy was being "Yiyi" to her 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
