Chester C. Augustyniak

Chester C. Augustyniak, 70, loving husband of the late Maria; devoted father of Kristina Augustyniak, Nyssa (Nathan Moreno) Augustyniak, and Eveliss (Tony) Zenner; proud grandfather of Mackenzie, Natalia, Anthony, and Chloe: beloved brother of Stanley, Eugene, and Norman; and cherished and life long friend of Justin Mateo and Herman Lopez.

Chester was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Stefania.

Chester will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his pride in serving as a Chicago police officer, and his love of golf and the outdoors. Chester was a talented and hardworking man who could fix just about anything. As an engineer and skilled key maker, he took great pride in his work and in using his hands to solve problems. Chester loved golfing and found great joy in spending time on the course. He even had his own putting green next to his home, where he could enjoy the game he loved whenever he wanted. Some of his fondest times were spent golfing alongside his lifelong friends, Justin Mateo and Herman Lopez, creating memories and sharing countless rounds together. Outside of work and golf, Chester cherished the time he spent with his brothers Eugene, Stanley, and Norman, especially their days together hunting and fishing. Those moments in the outdoors were filled with laughter, friendship, and memories that will be treasured for years to come. 

Chester will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his incredible ability to fix anything, his love of golf, and most of all, the time and memories he shared with the people he loved.

Visitation will be on Friday, August 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park, IL.

Visitation will also be on Saturday, August 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with St. Jude service to be held at 12:00 p.m. with visitation to follow until 4:00 p.m.

Interment will be private.
