Obituary

Carol Micienko was born on November 28th, 1950 and passed on February 19th, 2021. She passed away the way she had always hoped, in her sleep.  Her love was just like her smile, a warm ray of sunshine. She could make you smile on the darkest of days, and had a way of making you forget how sad you were by bringing out the happiness of tomorrow.
Carol loved being a mother and was the second mom to everyone on the block.  Everyone knew she would help in any way possible and on many occasions she would buy groceries, help with their animals, and have a cup of coffee with the local police officers who patrolled her block. Her kindness was felt by anyone in her presence.
When Carol became a grandmother, she was overjoyed. She held her granddaughter to the highest respect. She was so proud when she got onto the honor roll and always told her granddaughter that she was proud of her no matter what she did.  She was so nervous about her granddaughter taking karate class but was so proud when she received her blackbelt and when her granddaughter moved onto her true passion training in MMA.  She would watch her granddaughter kick and say "holy crap that girls leg goes up to the sky!"
Carol may have hated bugs but she loved nature and animals. It was a bizarre but hilarious thing to watch. She would run from a bee and snakes but be amazed at how big ant hills were. She loved to sit on her porch and have her cigarette even if it was 20 degrees below. She loved to watch bunnies jump through her yard and she was amazed at the one time she actually saw a huge deer stand in front of her window on Luna Ave.  She was astonished by its beauty and how large its antlers were.  Her love for all animals, but specifically for dogs, could be seen and felt everywhere she went.  She was the dog whisperer. All dogs no matter what breed would flock to her as if they knew of her kindness.  She would sit for hours and pet them, sneak them treats and make sure they always had a warm lap to sit on at a party.
Carol is, and always will be, a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter, and friend.
