IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carl W.
Stacy
October 4, 1934 – September 10, 2025
Carl passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 90 on September 10, 2025.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Priscilla; loving father to Cathy (David), Cheryl, Michael (Julie), and the late Eric; cherished grandfather to Sam, Maddie, Nathan, Andrew, Adrian, Jonathon, Kayla, and Daniel; dear brother to his late sisters Louise, Doris, Vivian, and Eva. Carl was born on October 4, 1934 in Alma, Michigan to Dena and Carl Stacy Sr.
As a youngster Carl had a curious and detailed oriented mind. He took great pride in doing things the right way. At the age of 17 he joined the United States Air Force and served his country with pride during the Korean War. After receiving an honorable discharge after four years in the Air Force, he went on to pursue his higher education. He enrolled at Purdue University and received a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed at Zenith Radio/Electronics for 50 years and worked in the Government Contracts Department where he received 24 patents. He shared his engineering knowledge with students and taught part-time evenings at Triton College for two years. Carl enjoyed flying and was a certified pilot. He built his own bi-plane on weekends and later purchased a Luscombe plane to fly home to Michigan on holidays. After retirement, he took great interest and pleasure in old pocket watches and clocks and repaired watches as a hobby.
Our Papa / Grandpa, we are grateful for every hug, every smile, and every moment we shared. We will miss you dearly.
