IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Angela
Mcclain
August 23, 1957 – July 5, 2025
Angela Silvana McClain (née Santangelo), 67, of Elmwood Park, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Beloved wife of Carl W. McClain, with whom she shared nearly 40 wonderful years of marriage. Angela was the devoted mother of James Louis McClain, Barry Austin (Dana) McClain, and Carl W. McClain II, and the proud grandmother of Allie, Alex, Madeline, Reagan (Naomi), Makiya, Aiden, Matthew, Phoenix, and Logan.
Angela was a woman of grace and quiet strength, known for her warmth, her thoughtfulness, and her many talents. A true lover of words, she enjoyed starting her mornings with a crossword puzzle and could often be found lost in a good book. She had a keen eye for beauty and was a connoisseur of beaded jewelry, with a collection as vibrant and unique as she was. On special occasions, Angela delighted in the simple joy of a mimosa at breakfast—a tradition that reflected her ability to find celebration in everyday life.
Before retiring, Angela worked as an assistant for a land trust company, a position she truly enjoyed and where she made many lasting friendships.
Angela is also survived by her loving siblings Marisa, Lou (Gina), and Dominic (Julie), and was a fond aunt to Dylan and Ryan. She will be remembered for the love she gave freely, the wisdom she shared, and the calm, nurturing presence she brought to all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to breast cancer research in Angela's memory.
